The Nazi castle was designed around the mission in Le Harve in which you have to board a zepplin. The designers needed a castle that was ancient and ruined to fight your way through. It was a level in itself so it had to be huge with many sections. My art director Chris Hunt suggested romanesque structures so I modeled it after many roman structures and church designs. The final design was tweaked by working with the world builders and it turned out to be a really fun level. One of m favorite missions in the game infact. I won't ruin it for you but it gets really cool when you enter the blimp docked at the top.
