Comic Con 2009

Kam and I went to Comic Con this year cause both Saboteur and her Mindflex (that Kam designed from the ground up) had displays. Turns out that Mattel had gone all out for Mindflex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teLilQfF5qY&feature=related. It had its own huge booth which was nonstop packed with people waiting to try it out. If your unfamiliar with Mindflex, the game can read your level of concentration through brainwaves which translates into a floating ball, which you navigate through an obstacle course. I think the blue guy would make a great redesign for TRON. When I have some time I want to work on it some more towards a more finished design

Guitar Hero






I'm a Guitar Hero fan and I thought it'd be a fun exercise to try doing some character designs in their style. I don't usually do characters so it was definitely fun to try something different.

He's modeled after a death metal rocker.

Saboteur Art





This is the full image for the cover art. This was my recommended crop but the crop they used is good too.
Its trying to show the level of grittiness of the game as well as making it an action moment, and showing off the low Will to Fight. Low Will to Fight is our B&W lighting that represents the oppression of the Nazi's. Later when you liberate an area, color is returned to that area of Paris.

Ring Design


My Kam is an industrial designer so I wanted to do something special for her engagement ring. I thought she would appreciate it if I designed it myself, but it was tough though cause she knows more about design than I do. I put alot of thought into and she ended up loving it so I guess I did good :)

Box Design


I wanted to make a cool box to fit with the ring I made. I had no idea how to make a box so asked my friend Bryan Norton who used to work in a model shop for movies. It was fun but it was really hard. Plus it was hard to try to hide what I was doing from my girlfriend. She really liked it though so it was definitely worth it.

Some of the other designs I used as influence for robocop. wanted to incorporate a more modern language for robocops near futurism design. I wanted robocop to feel more fluid and organic like he could be a runner or a martial artist, so I incorporated some nano tech with steel so he looked flexible and protected. I'm also playing with the idea of giving him a techy sword of some sort ;)
