Continuing with my personal redesign of the RoboCop universe. I wanted to take another stab at ED-209 as a military weapon. Let me know what you think.
Jason, not trying to be down, but both your redesigned RoboCop and Ed-209 look too much like Metal Gear Solid. ED209 looks like Rex and Robocop looks way too much like the Cyborg Ninja (especially that sword pose from a while back)
Granted, the original designs evoked the industrialization / mechanical feel of the 80's, whereas your designs have a more digital feel to them.
It's not an easy task you took on, the ED-209 design especially still holds up today (which speaks highly of the production designers on a movie nearly/over 25 years old).
The work itself is fantastic; but in my mind it's highly derivative of Metal Gear. Still, the thought behind the work is greatly appreciated.
